the super mario sunshine cast M a r i o We all know Mario. He's the Italian plumber from NES days that the old gamers loved. Mario is not exactly a tall or muscular, nut quite fit to be a hero. He looks more fit with him having his face under a leaky faucet. But looks are deceiving, as Mario is one of gamedoms best-known and most lover characters of all time. Mario basically has followed a course of saving mushroom Kingdom, and notably princess Peach, from his nemesis, Bowser. This game take a little break from that same plot, or so it will seem at first... P e a c h Princess Peach called by her friends, though her real name is Princess Toadstool. We've never seen who her parents were, as she apparently rules Mushroom Kingdom by herself. Quite possibly the WORST voice actor evar, Peach isn't playable in this game; only Mario, much like SM64. Peach is basically a passive observer in this game, as she doesn't play a key role in the plot. Or so it would seem at first... T o a d s w o r t h An old long-time friend and steward of the royal family, Toadsworth was absent in SM64. When you talk to him, he makes a god-awful noise, something like "Bah bah bah bah bah bah" in a really deep tone. Not much else to desribe about him, except the obvious fact that he's pretty old. T o a d The worrisome little fellow Toad, seen in every Mario game, even Luigi's Mansion. Toad is Peach's attendant, and aside from having a giant head he's not much use, and doesn't give you an occasional Star like in SM64. F L U D D FLUDD is the first new item in this game and can talk to you and move its sprayer that is why it is in the cast part. P i a n t a The Pianta are Delfino's main residence. Most of them are fat and jolly, but some are just plain grumpy and stubborn. They grow little trees on their head, and the only difference between male and female is their colors, blue for male, red for female. They are widely known for their strength, and their talent and enjoyment of throwing things, like Mario for instance. Oft times they have hints and tips they're willing to share with you, so talk to everyone of these fellows you come across. N o k i Small sea-sheel like animals, Noki are the games only other sentient life-forms in this game. When threatened, they withdrawl into their sea-shells for protection. The Noki children are wildly playful and disobedient, and often times have good hints they are willing to share. S h a d o w M a r i o Shadow Mario is a mysterious, blue, Mario impersonator, whom is the cause of all of all the trouble that has overwhelmed Delfino Island. He spreads his graffiti around using his little magical staff, supplied by a certain scientist name E. Gadd. Shadow Mario makes several appearances over the game, most taunting you to chase him. Shadow Mario appears to have no connection to any other enemy, but that might change over the course of the game. Shadow Mario has virtually the same moves as Mario has, but he of course doesn't have the FLUDD, which may just be the key to defeating this strange adversary. super mario sunshine storyline Close your eyes and imagine...soothing sunshine accompanied by the sound of waves gently breaking on the shore. High above, seagulls turn lazy circles in a clear blue sky. This is Isle Delfino. From the hustle and bustle of the Mushroom Kingdom, this island resort glitters like a gem in the waters of a southern sea. Mario, Peach, and an entourage of Toads have come to Isle Delfino to relax and unwind. At least, that's their plan...but when they arrive, they find things have gone horribly wrong... According to the island inhabitants, the person responsible for the mess has a round nose, thik mustache, and a cap... What? But...that sounds like Mario!? The Islands are saying Mario's mess has polluted the island and cause their energy source, the Shine Sprites, to vanish. Now the falsely accused Mario has promised to celan up the island...but how? Never fear! FLUDD, the latest invention Gadd Science Inc. (Ed. Note: 'E. Gadd' from Luigi's Mansion, remember?) can help Mario tidy up the island, take on baddies, and lend a nozzle in all kinds of sticky situations. Can Mario clean up the island, capture the villain, and clear his good name? Its time for another adventure to get started! Super Mario Sunshine Walkthrough Landing at the Airstrip After a lovely flight with an in-flight movie, you land on the landing strip. It's covered with goo! Run + jump over to far end, get water gun from Gadd Sciences. It's name is FLUDD. Use R to shoot water. Press down to use control stick to aim. X to switch to hover mode. Fill in water with R. Wash all of this area off. When you shoot the center of the goo enough, a plant will come out. The Y button targets. Destroy for first Shine Sprite. You're found guilty of the mess on the island and charged to clean up the entire island. You must also find the shine sprites. The island starts out dark - it will light up as you find the sprites. First, go straight and right. Shoot the center of slime - eventually it turns into a plant. Now shoot the plant - kill it, statue comes up. Shadow Mario up on top of it. He steals the princess. Entrances to Other Lands Biano Hills This is the very first thing you do in the game. When you make the statue appear by the beach, Shadow Mario runs off with the Princess. He follows a set loop around town, so follow him and spray him whenever you can. Eventually he'll fall down - follow him to that statue and he'll put a colorful M on it and leap through. Spray it and you'll be able to follow him into this first world. Ricco Harbor After you earn 3 shines, you can now get into your second world: Ricco Harbor. A goo mess will appear on the docks. Go there and wash down the slime, then kill the plant that appears there. Now the Blue Coin Trading Shop will appear at that spot. You can trade in every 10 blue coins you get for a shine! On the side of a shop is a colorful M. Wash it and then hop into it to get to this world. Gelato Beach After you earn 5 shines, the lighthouse gets covered with goo. If you face the main beach, it's on your far left hand side by the pier posts. Go and wash away the slime and fight the plant that appears. After you destroy him, the lighthouse will rise up with a colorful M on its side. Jump through this to get to the Gelato Beach. Pinna Park After you earn 10 shines, the Princess is captured. She's taken to Pinna Island. You can now follow her by using the red cannon in the top left corner of the map, if you're standing on the beach with the water behind you and the town in front of you. Sirena Beach After you finish Episode 4 of Pinna Park, you'll return to the main area to a Yoshi Egg Chase. You end that episode by warping back to the center, and the game says "Go!" The Evil guy has the Yoshi egg. Water him enough so he drops the egg. Now you can get Yoshi by bringing him the fruit he's thinking of. The thought bubble will show a banana or pineapple or whatever. Note that Yoshi shoots out juice of the color of the most recent fruit you've eaten! Take him up on the roof and have him eat the giant pineapple there to jump into the pipe. Noki Bay After you get 20 shines, a rainbow shines down into the center of town. Stand in the rainbow and then look up into the sky - right at the sun! Yes, do NOT try this in the real world, it burns out your eyeballs. But in the game it gets you to the next level. Pianta Village Once you get the rocket nozzel (30 shines), go behind the giant shine in the center of town and rocket up to the top of it. There's a red tube up there that leads you to this area. Shine Sprites in Central Area * Initial plant in airstrip area, when you first land. * Spray beach by lighthouse to reveal a star. Rocket up to top of shine then rocket straight up to get shine. Tip from Ember Near the light house in the plaza, there's a bunch of islands sticking out. Jump to the tube at the top to reach a sliding game to get a shine. Also, swim near the bottom of these islands and you'll find a small area which you can turbo into and get a blue coin. Tip from Anthony and Becka: If you go out to the island where the guy with the campfire is there is a Yellow bird flying around spray it until it becomes a shine spirit then jump out to it on the little islands by the lighthouse. Tip from Dan: Enter an open door into a room where a man will ask you to smash all of the boxes for a prize. Smash them all in 20 seconds, and get a Shine. You can do this one TWICE! Go in a second time and do it again. Its a lot tougher the second time with more boxes and they are stacked higher. (This door is on the opposite side of the canal between the umbrellas) Blue Coins in Central Area * Erase X on statue that appears by beach at beginning of game. Coin appears behind jailhouse * Erase X behind jailhouse, coin appears by statue on beach * Go behind the jailhouse and jump up into the window. We've found about 3. Secrets in Central Delfino Plaza Area Level Up 1 Jump into the canal in the center of town and swim out to the ocean. Turn right when you hit the ocean and then right again. There's a level up mushroom down in a nook there. Level Up 2 Go to the beach by the 2 beach umbrellas. The sunglasses guy is in one of them. Face the umbrellas with your back to the water. Now move just right of the rightmost umbrella. Jump around here a bit - you should see a circle outline appear on the ground. Slam that for a secret sewer entrance with 8 coins and a level up mushroom. Level Up 3 hey i just wanted to let u know i found a level up mushroom in the central delfino plaza that u didn't mention on ur page. well on the beach where the guy selling sunglasses is and the 2 umbrellas... ok swim out to that little island. the guy out there has a small campfire smoldering. if u squirt the fire, a mushroom pops out. but u have to be quick to catch it, it runs around. Ranae :) Level Up 4 Go in the sewers at marketplace. Go right right right and left. Coin Hints Spray every wanted poster. Spray every sign. Spray every open window. You can get infinite coins by having throw-guy throw you - the coins will reset but your coin count won't reset. Yoshi's Pachinko Game Jump onto the roof of the boat in the canal. Then just under the overpass (as you're heading out to sea) jump up to where the coin is. Use hover to get you in the door fully. You're now in a Giant Pachinko machine!! Go over to the left to where the ball would get "launched" - the red square. Jump on it to launch up as if you were the ball. You get 3 automatically by launching. Just 5 to go. Note, if you get to the very BOTTOM of the screen without going into any chute, you die! Just launch up. You'll land on a nail. You can then fall left or right to the lower two purple spots. So far so good. You can also get the lower right one by hovering up the back slide and getting it. To get to the 2 top ones, you can wall jump up between the wooden back of the game and the transparent glass front! You can also start water-blasting near the top of the launch chute to get the top left one. Avoid the front/back wall when trying to hover. Now a shine appears in the center!! Central Delfino Plaza Area Stranded Campfire Guy There is an entrance to a Red Coin Collection Game on the island across from the beach with the two umbrellas. This island contains a palm tree, a stranded man, a small fire you can put out for a 1-up mushroom, and a green manhole covered with rippling yellow goo. The entrance to the Red Coin Game is through this green manhole, once the yellow goo has been washed off. The only way to wash this goo is with Yoshi's juice. Half of the difficulty of this Red Coin Game, is getting Yoshi out to this island, given the fact that he cannot go in the water. Obtain Yoshi, then hop on the boat to get to the other island near the entrance to the canal. You can also get out there through a tunnel. Once on that island you must wait for the second boat to come that makes a loop between the island and the platform in the middle of the ocean. Before hopping on this boat when it arrives, be sure to refill Yoshi's juice with the fruit in the tree. Once on the second boat, ride it to the platform, jump on that platform to wait for the third boat. Eat the bannana to refill Yoshi's juice once again. The third boat will bring you to the island containing the entrance to the Red Coin Game. Spray the yellow goo with Yoshi's juice and you are IN! Collect all 8 Red Coins in the secret canal while riding the lillypad. You will die if you fall in the water. Use Mario's Water Gun to attempt to direct the lillypad. I assume if you get all 8 Red Coins, you will get a Shine, but I haven't been able to do it yet. Believe me, its difficult. The lillypad sinks after a period of time and really won't move against the current. Biano Hills Episode 1: Road to the Big Windmill Biano Hills is a peaceful country setting, with windmills and a stream. When you first enter this level you'll meet a sunglasses guy. You can't use the glasses until you have 30 shines so ignore him for now. Most coins here are very obvious. If you water all the flowers in a given set, you'll usually get coins for that. This is just the starter level, so they make it easy for you. Mostly you're having fun playing on the ropes, watering the flowers, swimming in the water. Eventually you should find your way to the windmill. Just destroy the ball-making spot from the safety of the water, and a plant will appear. Hit him 3 times with his mouth open, and a ramp will come down. Grab the shine and you're all set! Episode 2: Down with Petey Piranha OK, you have a little practice with the game now. It's time to face a real boss. Your enemy, the Big Plant, is up on the windmill. Go over the new ramp created in Episode 1 and then cross the bridge. Stay on the hedge as you go up the path. There'll be a water spigot at the end - stand in its stream to fill up your water. If you run into any thorns blocking your path, use the hover-nozzle to go out and around them. Note there's a M to wash past the guy there. Jump on the arm of the windmill as it goes past, and then up on the roof to the boss. You both will fall into the center. Note that you want to conserve your water in here, don't go wild! Follow him around until he opens his mouth to spit goo out. When he does, send a CONTINUOUS stream of water into his mouth to bloat his belly. When he's full, he'll fall over and his belly button will poke out. Jump on him and then do a jump-pound to squash him. You'll have to do this 3 times to kill him and get your shine! Episode 3: The Hillside Cave Secret This is one of the first puzzle levels, so again they make it easy on you. Head for the lake. Jump onto a lily pad and use your water to get you over to the cave. Hi jump up to it and you're set. Once you do, there'll be a sliding block puzzle. Watch for a while to get a sense of their speed. The first pair of nails has a one-up life mushroom on the right, so grab that each time just in case. When you get to the end, you get your shine! Episode 4: Red Coins of Windmill Village You're just getting 8 red coins. This is practice with jumping on ropes and with the brand new Rocket Nozzel. Go up on rope by entrance, then 2nd rope, then up. There are 2 red coins right there. The 3rd is in by the bells. 4th up around wall. 5th on rope between buildings near blue box. 6 is up on tower with rope with spinny red thing on it. Now go get the rocket-nozzel on the back wall by going across the brick stick-out spots. 7 is between windmills, boost up with rocket Last is up on top of twin towers. Episode 5: Petey Piranha Strikes Back Head to the back of the map and find the goo. Wash it off and you'll find a guy near the 2 posts. Wash him off. Wait until he walks around and his back is pointing at the rope. Now talk to him so he flings you up. Now wash off the guy up there. Shoot the little pink things at the piranha. He'll start flying around. Chase him and shoot him any time he stops for a moment. When he lands, shoot him in the mouth when it's open to inflate him all the way up. Stomp his belly when he's down. Three times is the charm! The shine is right near you on the ground. Episode 6: Secret of the Dirty Lake Your lovely lake is all slimy!! You meet a dirty guy, clean him off. He says the ooze is coming out of the cave. Hop over the pillars and into the tube. You'll get a fun mini-puzzle! Start down the left hand side and use the JUMP key to get over any holes. Just a few tries before you get your shine! Ricco Harbor Episode 1: Gooper Blooper Breaks Out Ricco Harbor can be really confusing - it's a boatyard with your initial dock area, another dock area you have to climb or sewer to get to, and a ton of grids out over the water. You're learning about climbing here. Jump on fences to climb them, and use B to flip a gate when you're clinging onto it. If you press B when you're on the opposite side of a fence as a monster, you'll knock it off and into the water! Go into the first cage. Jump up and flip the gate in the ceiling. Go to the first swinging thing, then the green arrow, then orange arrow. Now jump onto th eother swingy thing, and you're by a grey arrow. Shoot the white spinner to raise the submarine. Jump across it then shoot the 3 mushroom guys to make little landing pads. Jump across them and onto the lifty thing (on its way UP) to get to the town area. Now head right. You'll see a box with a tentacle. Grab it with B and pull it backwards to initiate the battle. During the battle, grab each arm and pull it off!! Yikes. Then wash his face off and pull the cork out of it. On to round 2. Pull all of his arms out again. Now grab his mouth and pull!! The shine comes down right in the center. Episode 2: Blooper Surfing Safari This one is actually really fun! Follow the path over on logs and talk to guy. Big Daddy of Blooper-surfing. Follow the trail of coins. Jump before tunnel - get blue coin! Now into tunnel. This is a Timed puzzle. You have to get better than 45 seconds to win the level. 44 gets a shiney! In essence just do it a few times to get the hang of where to turn and where the obstacles are going to be. Episode 3: The Cage Shine Sprite This is a HUGE maze. It's easier to think of it in sections. First, you just want to get over to the town area. If you have the sewers open, use them. If not, follow the trail around the grid to get there. Now go on the grid from the roof of the town. Go across to the hook. Now go up and around, jump on trampolines and get up into top. Fall down into center, and grab shine. Episode 4: The Secret of Ricco Tower You get into the tower by jetting over from town. This is an obstacle course. There are many rolling logs, turning gears, side angle logs. It's really a matter of practice, to get the timing right. The Last part is the worst. Just take it in straight lines, and you should make it through. Episode 5: Gooper Blooper Returns Now Gooper Blooper is up on the helicopter pad. Go up in town, get rocket launcher, get up on circle roof. Then go over to pad. Gooper Blooper is more aggressive than before of course. You have the same 2 rounds of killing him. Squirt him to have him attack you, then jump on a tentacle and pull. His eyes turn purple at the end, and he's launched up. The shine comes to you. Red Coins on the Water Episode 6: Red Coins on the Water Important note - if you crash into an item, you end the game. So be careful! You stomp the red thing to start the timer. Don't stomp right away - you can just explore first to practice, you don't get red coins yet. When you know the course and are ready, do the red stomp and start. It's pretty easy, all 8 are right in the water. The tricky part is you have to jump up on dock to end the game, if you smash into the dock you lose. You have lots of time. Note that the colors do matter!! green seems slower, hard to jump though yellow is middle Do one or two with this to gear up and then switch to green - it'll seem easy purple is fastest - easy to get blue coin at jump first 4 in straight line, left for 5, 6th at far end, then turn back. 7 is under orange structure and 8 is between 2 boats back by start Episode 7: Shadow Mario Revisited The chases are pretty easy. You just chase Mario. At some point, he'll be 'nonreactive'. When he doesn't react to shots, water him to get close and then grab him. Episode 8: Yoshi's Fruit Adventure Get the rocket and blast up to the top of grafitti tank. Pound the top to get a fruit. Note that you go left and right, one or the other is active at any point in time. They keep rotating through the fruits to whatever Yoshi wants. When you find what he wants, get it over to Yoshi to start out. Note that his juice causes enemies to do different things: yellow - stationary pink - rise up purple - float forwards Get over to the cage using the enemies across the water, first to the spot to the left with a palm tree. To do this: Go out on purple to ledge. Go up to palm tree. eat melon. now pink. Now when shoot they go up, go up ledges to cage. Spray off gunk, go up on cage, slam down and get the shine. Gelato Beach Episode 1: Dune Bud Sand Castle Secret This is a fun puzzle in a nice, calm beach land. When you water the flowers here, either they give you coins or they pop up a fun shape. If you do the one over to the left of the entrance, it makes a sandcastle. Run into the opening of the sandcastle to start the puzzle. When you get to the first set of nails, the bottom left one is a one-up mushroom. Just run fast and it's pretty easy. The next 2 nails are just 2 coins. Get to the main area and you should have plenty of time to first go to the one-up mushroom on one side, then over to the shine on the other. Tip :There is a hidden shine sprite in Gelato Beach. go to the dune bud that reveals stairs leading down to coins. Spray the back wall and a picture of the shine will appear. The shine will float to the top of the hill. Go get it and be happy! Episode 2: Mirror madness! Tilt Slam Bam! This is sort of tricky. In essence there are 3 big mirrors. One has 1 enemy, one has 2, and one has 3. Start with the 1 alone of course! Climb up the yellow-trunk tree and get over to the mirror. Now shoot the enemy. Soon it'll be balancing on one leg. When it does, run to the opposite end of the mirror and stomp-pound it. It'll see-saw the enemy off the mirror. Now go and do the same to the mirrors with the 2 enemies, then the 3 enemies. When all the mirrors are clear, the caterpillar will fall off the roof. Your shine will be down on the beach! Episode 3: Wiggler Ahoy! Full Steam Ahead! This is a simple concept and sort of hard to pull off. You knock the wiggler over by blowing up a plant when it's near the plant. So watch where the wiggler is going and water the plant it's about to go around, to knock it over. Then leap on its belly and stomp-pound the one with the arrow over it. You have to do this a few times to get him completely dead, but then the shine is right on the beach so that part is easy. Episode 4: The Sand Bird is Born You find shell bits in the central light area. Go up to top of hill and shoot down blue bird for blue coin. Then slide down trail of coins to get into hole. Can just bounce on it and float in. Red coins on a floating sand bird. There are 7 red coins on his back. a blue one floats by in a cloud. Get out onto right wing and when he begins to turn sideways stand on the little block that sticks out. Now he flies to a tower where the 8th one is. Jump to get it and the shine appears right there. Episode 5: Il Piantissimo's Sand Sprint He wants you to race to flag at top of hill. Record is :35 You can get in :31. You can belly run to side, across mirror, and then go up. Episode 6: Red Coins in the Coral Reef There's a blue coin in water to left, another in water to right. You have to chase it. There's a third in the water. A fourth is from the swing - just get onto the swing and use your jets to get you swinging! This level is about red coins. There's a red coin tucked in the reef further to the right. 2 of them swim, and you have to chase them. The other six are just in nooks. It's pretty easy if you just swim around and look. Episode 7: It's Shadow Mario! After Him! Yup, you chase him and grab him as usual. Nothing too special here. By now you should be at shine #60 or so! Episode 8: The Watermelon Festival You must roll a watermelon from the edge over to beach without hitting a red guy. The judge guy tells you they're all too small. Finally, look up on top of the hill. There's a big one! Roll it down carefully. The shine appears on the roof of the building. Pinna Park Episode 1: Mecha-Bowser Appears! This is a really cool map - a giant amusement park! There are rides, roller coasters and everything. For the first episode, go right into the entrance of the park and straight ahead to see shadow mario. You'll be put on the rollercoaster and all you can do is ride around the track and shoot. Either you shoot water normally (you can turn around in your seat) or sometimes you'll get a rocket you can fire. Missiles will come at you. Face forward most of the time since you'll get a warning if one comes up from behind but no warning if they are in front of you. As you go past the bowser head, fire rockets at his head. Once you blast him, you'll see a cute scene. It's really baby bowser!! He thinks Princess Peach is his Mom (Ummmm wouldn't she know it if she had a Bowser-baby??). So he's trying to rescue her from you. He now takes off to Corona Mountain, in essence the final boss battle that you get to at the end of the game. Episode 2: The Beach Cannon's Secret Normally I keep blue coin notes separate but this episode is really just a blue coin episode. Lure each of the flying missiles into the various crates and they'll blow up so you get the coins. Some are easy, and some require you to make yourself a living target, then when the slow missile comes along, walk towards the crate so it follows you to blow it up. Note you'll get hurt doing this so go water the flowers to get some life back. When you're set with the coins, go close to the cannon so he starts throwing bombs at you. Water one, grab it and throw it right back at the cannon. He'll explode and you'll go into a puzzle. For the first part, just hop across and grab the life mushroom in the middle chest. Now go up the trampolines. For part 2, use the B-slide to slide all the way across as soon as the row appears. For part 3, do a run and jump right when they appear to get to the turn. Then do the slide all the way to the end, and jump across the gap. You get a shiny! Episode 3: Red Coins of the Pirate Ships OK, now we're back into the park, and can really explore. Go up the long stairs to the pirate ships. You have to get 8 coins. It starts easy. There is 1 at the beginning. #2 is on first ship to R. The 3rd is on the second ship. Now you have to jump from the second ship's nose off to the grid. All 5 remaining red coins are up on this grid, so just climb across to get them. The shiny is at the very end. Episode 4: The Wilted Sunflowers Yes, it's the Yoshi Level! By beating this level, you can ride Yoshi! You're back in the beach outside the park. There are turtles before the flowers. Water each turtle, antagonize it until it flips over (on the sand somewhere so it gets stuck) and then stomp it. Do it in the sand so they sink in. Get all of them and you get a shiny. This level is very quick, because you also now have to do the yoshi-egg-chase in the center area. Tip:spray the sand in the sunflower area with your FLUDD - ignore the coins and the fruit. when the sand sparkless when hit by the water - continue spraying at that point, a blue crown will appear and you'll get a blue coin. I've found two of these. Episode 5: The Runaway Ferris Wheel This is a REALLY REALLY annoying level because of the camera angles. Half of the time you can't see what you're doing! First, jump on the grid and use the blast-up to turn one or two of them so you can then jump over to the right. When you're on the grid, go to the opposite side as the enemies are and use B to bash them off. Get all the enemies off for the shiney to appear. Sounds easy, it really isn't. Now stand beneath the rotating baskets. Go over to the ledge to the left and jump onto it. Jump from there onto the TOP of a basket as it's right next to you. Ride it up to the top to get your shiney! Episode 6: The Yoshi Go Round's Secret Just a note if you didn't know it yet, ground pound the middle of the fountain to get lots of coins. You have to find the Yoshi Egg. It's up behind the tree with a face. It wants a banana. Banana down on platform by pirate pool. Bring it to the yoshi. Now ride Yoshi up to gazebo for pineapple to turn orange and bring him around to the spot that's missing a yoshi. Now you teleport to an EVIL maze with blocks spinning and turning. Jump fast over first section. 2 nails. 2nd one is One Up mushroom. Now jump across the blocks in to a blue one. You can always get through the wall on blue. You'll get a one up mushroom on blue if you stay on while it goes around. Now jump across other way to nail spot. Just a coin. Jump on block - it moves. On other side it vanishes so get off quick. Go on the next one that takes a corner. Now go into the nook where the two walls face each other, and wall jump up to top. Now go around to one that goes up and down, and jump from there to shine. Episode 7: Shadow Mario in the Park This is a chase-in-a-loop mission. It's actually REALLY easy because he just runs loop around from fountain. In fact if you get on the other side of him he'll reverse direction, so by going around from side to side you can trap him on the beach by the trees. Hit him TONS of times to get a shine!
